    I-10 at FM 3180 TxDOT Open House & Hearing

    Date: August 21, 2018 Time: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
    Event Description The purpose of the public hearing is to present the proposed improvements and gather public input for the intersection of I-10 at FM 3180 in Chambers County, Texas. An open house will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. where displays will be available for viewing and the public may come at their convenience. The public hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m., which includes a formal presentation and comment period. Comments must be received on or before Thursday, September 6, 2018, to be a part of the official hearing record.

    Proposed improvements include the following:

    • Reconfigure the I-10 and FM 3180 intersection by reconstructing I-10 as an overpass across FM 3180; currently, FM 3180 is an overpass across I-10
    • Widen FM 3180 from two lanes to four lanes
    • Install traffic signals at the intersection of FM 3180 and I-10 frontage roads 
    • Widen the I-10 frontage road bridges over Cotton Bayou

    All work would occur within the existing right of way (ROW). No additional ROW, permanent/temporary easements are required; therefore, no displacements or relocations of residences and businesses are necessary.
